Naomi in Blue
Blending sharp storytelling with experimental soundscapes, Naomi in Blue questions the constraints of genre and takes us beyond Americana to a cinematic sound that’s post-country
Louis Brennan
London based Dubliner Louis Brennan is a singer-songwriter in the folk tradition. His folk however aren’t the field hands and travelling minstrels of yore but the repressed middle managers and ennui-ridden urbanites of late stage capitalism. They populate tales of bad sex, half-drunk commutes and interpersonal claustrophobia delivered in Brennan’s cracked baritone, at times embarrassingly intimate, at times spuriously broad, peppered with pitch-black humour.
Brennan has performed in many guises on many stages and is known for a live show that takes the listener on a journey, turning the mirror from himself onto the audience, commanding dynamics as if conducting an orchestra not standing alone with an acoustic guitar.
Trent Miller
Born and raised in the countryside of north-western Italy, fuelled by dreams of rock’n’roll, Miller made his way to London as a youth, joining the just-blooming Americana circuit. Carrying with him the dual influence of the Beats and darkly troubled songwriters like Gene Clark, Jeffrey Lee Pierce and Thin White Rope’s Guy Kyser, he made his recorded debut on the album Hidden Desert, a tribute to the latter much missed Northern Californians. Releasing his debut Cerberus himself, he later signed up with the recording arm of highly-regarded underground magazine, Bucketfull Of Brains, for the first full-length release on the label, Welcome To Inferno Valley.
Maggie Rose
Maggie Rose is one of very special musicians to the play Lantern Society London. Her music combines amazing finger picking guitar playing with her wonderful voice to create a sound that’s truly beautiful.
Maggie has been a part of the Lantern for many years but this will be her first performance back on the Lantern stage in a long time and we are super excited to have her back playing!
