JASON MCNIFF (acoustic trio)
A troubadour who has made eight albums which people call Folk, or Americana, or Alt. Country. There is an Englishness in his guitar playing however & you might like to think of Bert Jansch or Wizz Jones meeting John Prine & Townes Van Zandt. Time Out writes, 'McNiffs quiet, intimate, fragile-sounding vocals draw you into his world, an almost timeless place, through which he drifts, a romantic loner, a dreamer, at home with the blues.' He is often described as one of the UK's musical treasures, as a songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist. His latest album 'Everything's a Song' came out in June this year to widespread acclaim.
'An Immense talent' Janice Long, BBC Radio 2.
'The Uk's premier folk guitar picker' MOJO
'Wistful & Nostalgic' Album of the week, The Times

RUSSELL JOSLIN (solo)
With a guitar style reminiscent of a grunge-soaked John Fahey moonlighting with the 13th Floor Elevators, plus vocal aims to mix the gravitas of 16 Horsepower’s David Eugene Edwards with the passionate abandon of The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser, London-based Russell Joslin vitiates the singer-songwriter tradition until it sounds as splintered as today’s society.
‘Explosive, hard-hitting folk … a much-needed gust of fresh air into the British folk scene’ – Subba-cultcha
‘Living proof of how fresh, vigorous and abrasive an acoustic songwriter can and should be in the 21st Century’ - BBC 6music
