Our monthly BLUEGRASS HOEDOWN ... keepin’ it pure and keepin’ it real with the finest pickers in the land totally unplugged and harmonising the hell out of the upstairs bar. Starring:
8.30 UPSTAIRS
banjo, mandolin, lapsteel, upright bass and guitar plus knockout Apalachian/NorthLondon harmonies! Speedgrass / Philosograss, and Lovegrass all the way from our resident heroes.
It's 1966, and Shirley Collins is fronting Moby Grape, dating Gene Clark and being produced by Joe Meek. Mary Epworth is down the front, taking notes, whilst the rest of the band try to turn a Banjo into a flux-capacitor.

5 piece guitar band slithering their way ever further up the greasy alt country pole with their chunky/stonesy riffs, infectious choruses and rocking sound.
Bluegrass loving 4 piece singing songs of love, loss, death and penance ... upholding aspects of the English folk song tradition but drawing heavily on our American cousins Appalachian songstyles and musical traditions.
